Relic Bid is not simply an auction house that happens to run on donated goods. It is the first link in a deliberate chain. Net proceeds — after the platform fee — are deployed to grow Relic Bid itself and to seed other ventures.
Those ventures are selected for one quality above all: they give away, at no cost, things that are genuinely necessary for living. Not luxury. Not premium tiers. Things that people need.
Relic Bid also reserves the right to selectively support worthy causes that align with this vision — where directing resources makes a real, legible difference rather than vanishing into overhead.

Full transparency, upfront
- ✕No payment. Relic Bid does not compensate donors for items donated. The auction proceeds go to the mission fund.
- ✕No tax deduction. We do not issue tax receipts or act as a tax-exempt organization. Do not donate here for a tax benefit — consult a tax professional about your situation.
Convenience
For heirs settling estates, collectors downsizing, and families who have simply run out of room — Relic Bid offers a dignified, responsible way to rehome valuables. We handle authentication, photography, cataloguing, secure storage, auction, and insured delivery. You submit the item, and we manage the rest. Nothing is shipped until Relic Bid approves and provides the intake address.
Recognition — on your terms
When you submit your item, you may tell us how you would like to be credited in the lot listing — your name, a family name, an estate designation, or simply “a private collector.” You may also choose to remain entirely anonymous. Neither is required; the default is no public attribution.

When every dollar of net proceeds above the platform fee goes directly into the mission fund — rather than back to donors or into compliance overhead — each lot that sells becomes a unit of genuine capital for what comes next.
Donating here is not a transaction in disguise. There is nothing flowing back to you financially. That directness is the point: your contribution becomes fuel, not a split.
We are honest that this model is early. The ventures it will seed are still being defined. What we can say with confidence is the direction: proceeds accumulate toward causes that can give things away, not sell them. The auction house that takes in donated relics will, in turn, help fund the organizations that give necessities back out.
